blogging from winter camp: part 1
well we made it.
thanks for all your prayers, everyone made it safe and on time.
we had a great night last night. the band led us in some worship, kat and i got to share the vision of this camp with everyone, we got our camp sweatshirts, and lastly, before bed, we played “winkem”**.
this morning at the cool hour of 7:30am the leaders met, and talked, and laughed, and complained, and prayed.
after breakfast was our first morning session of the day. “ask”.
first i should tell you, our theme verse for the weekend is matthew7:7-8.
so i spoke this morning about the ugliness of rejection and the grace and healing that follows, the constant asking that is implied in the verse***, and the choice we have: when God answers prayers, what are we going to do about it?
today has the unmistakable aroma of goodness to it. im excited for today, tomorrow and beyond! snow is white, and for some california kids, this is revolutionary!

***matthew 7:7-8 was written in “greek present imperative”, which simply translates to, keep asking, keep seeking, etc.
